You all know the Distinction Studio Family means the world to me... Ben and Mikayla have been a part of the Distinction Studio Family for about 3 years now! It started back with engagement photographs (Click this link to see a handful of their GORGEOUS engagement photos) and then their wedding (Click this link to see a sneak peek of their amazing wedding photos!)... Having Ben and Mikayla as a part of the Distinction Studio Family makes me smile... this couple is AMAZING; They are super fun, full of love, easy to work with, a blast to chat with and talk to, and they trust me so capture beautiful photographs... It really doesn't get any better! Ben and Mikayla welcomed their first little one into the world about a month ago and decided they needed to get some family photos... so of course I am honored (and also super happy) they contacted me to capture these photographs of their growing family! Welcome little Present Orion to the Distinction Studio Family! I can't wait to photograph and watch this little boy learn and grow! Here is just a little sneak peek from their family session we had at Distinction Studio's private outdoor location! Enjoy!
Starting off the post with a beautiful "smiley" photo of the family!
Here is little Preston... what a sweet boy and so handsome!
Ben and Mikayla's "first child" Chewy (the little pup) joined in for the family photos too... because YES of course, dogs are family too! I love Chewy... he is such a fun little dog and making for a pretty good "big brother" according to Mikayla!
Preston managed to be wide awake for some of the photos and those newborn eyes are as curious as ever... taking in everything!
It's all in the details... Daddy's hands holding those little feet and Mommy's hand holding those tiny fingers!
Surrounded by his parents and pup, Mr. Preston was so content and enjoyed just hanging out!
One of my favorites from the session... I just love when Dad and Mom can enjoy some laughs and smiles with their new little baby!
A great family photo... The Orion Family is looking wonderful!
Kisses from Mom and Dad... classic black and white... Precious and picture perfect!
Capturing those moments that come and go all too quickly! Being a parent myself, I know those days and nights with a newborn can be so sleepless, chaotic, full of crying, sometimes you feel helpless and totally confused... but at the same time there are newborn snuggles and quiet moments with a sleeping babe... they learn and grow so quickly... the time goes by in what can feel like a blink when you look back and because of that... it is such an honor being the one to capture beautiful images!
Watching Ben hold his little boy brought a sweet smile to my face... He is a natural and so proud of his little man already! I love seeing a father and son together!
Moments with Daddy and Mommy! Ben and Mikayla are great parents!
Mother and son... these two have a special bond and the sweet kiss Mikayla is giving to Preston melts my heart!
Dad kisses Mom, Mom kisses her baby... its a beautiful moment!
Ending the post with a personal favorite from the day... the sunlight, those smiles, chewy looking cute... it's a whole family full of wonder and beauty!
To Ben and Mikayla... Congratulations! Preston is such a beautiful little boy and I am so glad you contacted me to create photo magic with you and your family! I love seeing you guys back for photos and I hope to be your family photographer for years and years! I'm attached to your adorable little family (Chewy included!). Having a family means things come up that are not planned and can be tough to comprehend and process... As you journey through parenthood, I wish and pray everything goes smoothly and you lean on each other! You both are wonderful and Preston is a very lucky little boy to have such a loving Dad and Mom! Thank you for always being a great part of the Distinction Studio Family and I hope you enjoy your photographs! Congratulations on your growing family! Hugs! Cheers!!!
