Distinction Studio Update: October/November 2019
What a busy crazy month(s)!!! SOOOO much going on to tell you all... I won't always do bullet points on these updates but I feel like there are so many that it's probably necessary this time... So let's get to the good stuff and stop boring you with all my babble... (Oh but before I do just note there will be photos scattered throughout this post... because well, I love photos!
-September and October were AMAZING! So many fabulous photo sessions! Thank you for supporting Distinction Studio! I will share some photos from various photo sessions throughout this Newsletter/Update post!
-I've got some BIG, BIG, BIG news coming soon... I can't share just yet but let me just tell you it will be SOOOOO WONDERFUL and SOOOOO worth the wait... stay tuned!!! Read the rest of this newsletter and you will find out!!!
-Do you remember Alli (one of my fabulous High School Seniors Class of 2020 I had the joy of photographing earlier this year)?!?! Well, she is seriously one AMAZING young women... she is putting together a stuffed animal drive for the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Sacred Heart! Distinction Studio has teamed up to help her out and collect as many new stuffed animals (or in like new condition) as possible during the month of October and November! She will be delivering the stuffed animals to Sacred Heart's Pediatric Intensive Care Unit over the upcoming holidays! This is something that is very close to Alli's heart and I am very excited to help her with this! If you would like to be a part of helping brighten a child's holidays this coming season please let me know and I will be collecting new stuffed animals and delivering them to Alli! You will need to get the stuffed animals to me be the end of October or Mid November so just call, text, email, message me (whatever works!) and we can figure out when I can get them from you or you can drop them off! Please let's get crazy and collect a ton for Alli to deliver to the PICU at Sacred Heart!
Here is what Alli had to say just FYI "Throughout the month of October/November, I will be collecting new stuffed animals to deliver to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Sacred Heart around the holiday season! When I was in the PICU, I was fortunate enough to have more signs/stuffed animals than I could count and so many people showing me their support... however, this is not the case for most kids. A stuffed animal can serve as a little dose of happiness and comfort during a not so happy time. I did this last year on my own, but I thought it would be a good idea to get some help from the #alliSTRONG community this year so we can deliver as many stuffed animals as possible. Pediatrics includes infants up to age 17, so keep that in mind when purchasing! Cash donations are also welcome if you’d rather me do the shopping ☺️"
-Personal stuff here... my youngest baby (my daughter) turned ONE in October and I'm not entirely sure how I feel about this yet... good grief... how has it been a year already! I absolutely love watching her grow but sometimes I just wish she would stay small and my baby forever! Being a parent is so amazing and wonderful... Here is a photo of my daughter and I! Parents, make sure to get photos with your kids... they won't stay small and young forever! I am so incredibly grateful to have photos with my kids! Looking back on them oh goodness it just makes my mommy heart explode! Sorry, enough about my sap story... I don't know do you all even enjoy reading the personal stuff?!?!
I had a vision and my Mother-in-law had the talent... (I did make the frosting but all the kudos go to my MIL!) She created the most beautiful and fabulous cake and matching smash cake for my daughter's first birthday! It was soooo fabulous that honestly, I just have to share and brag on my MIL for a moment! Thank you Nanette!!! Below is a photo of the cake and then the smash cake!
All of my kiddos get a baby in a basket ballon picture for their first birthday! (It's my own tradition, and I love it!) Here is my daughter's ballon basket photo!
-Back to Distinction Studio stuff... Christmas Mini Sessions are FULL!!!
-However if you wanted a photo session of some kind prior to Christmas (and getting photos back before Christmas) get in touch with me I've got some space available!
-I have purchased some new swaddles and props for newborns and first year milestone sessions... They are amazing and I've already be able to use some of them! It's been a blast! I can't wait for all the newborns in the coming months! If you or someone you know is expecting PLEASE get those maternity, newborn, and milestone sessions booked!!! Packages start at just $300!

-Ok... ARE YOU READY FOR THE BIG, BIG, BIG News?!?!?! Distinction Studio has GROWN!!! We now have 20 picture perfect private acres in Colbert, WA (just North of Spokane) for photo sessions!!! We've got everything from fields, trees, a small creek, bridges, fence lines, you name it... I will more than likely be offering some sort of photo session special this coming spring to celebrate! All I've got to say is WOW! I am just SOOOOOO excited about it!!!
-That's all I've got for now... although I'm sure I will think of something else (that's a great reason to follow Distinction Studio on social media because I'll probably post it on social media before it ends up on a blog post!) Anyway, Happy November! Can't wait to create tons of photo magic this month! Cheers!!!
