Andre and Vali contacted me all the way from California! This wonderful California couple planned a destination wedding in Kooskia, Idaho at the beautiful River Dance Lodge. However, their planning did not just stop at the wedding... they planned an entire "Wedcation!" Andre and Vali combined their Wedding and Vacation into one super event which they enjoyed calling "Wedcation" (BTW I think that is such a clever term and I quite enjoy saying it!) Anyway, what I love so much about this couple is how friendly and easy going they are! It can be tough to plan a wedding with a vendor from another state and literally hundreds of miles alway, but not to worry... Distinction Studio strives to go above and beyond and here is what Vali had to say about her experience with Distinction Studio... "Distinction Studio was the best! Exceeded our expectations!! We cannot express how much fun and happiness she (Rachel) brought to our day!! If you want photos that will continue to make you smile throughout the years look no further!!!" WOW! Thank you Vali... You are too kind! Distinction Studio is honored to have been a part of your "Wedcation!"
So while I was photographing their special day, Vali informed me that she "wanted the best blog post of 2013"... So, I am hoping this lives up to her request! I wanted to start of this best blog post with a great photo of the Bride and Groom sharing a kiss on the wonderfully decorated "glamping" tent. (Glamping... glamorous-camping for those of you who don't know!) I am impressed that Vali rocked high heels... that's what I call glamorous camping at it's finest for sure!!! Too cute!!!
When I saw Vali's shoes I think I feel in love... I am a girl who really should have a budget just for shoes. How absolutely perfect are these silver, lace, and bow heels? I'm thinking every girl should consider something this fabulous for her wedding day!
Ahhh yes, not just lace shoes but a stunning all lace wedding dress too! This dress is lace from top to bottom, and back to front. With so much detail it was a perfect for Vali!
The beautiful Bride on her wedding day. I'm sure she is thinking about when she walks down the aisle to her Groom.
The lighting, the rustic wood, the lace, and a gorgeous Bride. Vali said the back of her dress was her favorite part, and I have to agree!
No wedding would be complete without a photograph of the rings! Vali even had the Bible decorated to match her wedding decor! This girl thought of everything!
Andre is ready for the ceremony and looking his finest! I love the smile on a groom's face just minutes before saying "I Do."
How could I not share this? Such a cutie! Lucas sure knew how to smile like a stud! As I was taking this photograph I couldn't help but just about burst out laughing because he was such a little flirt with the camera!
Of course more of the vintage, rustic decor for the wedding ceremony!
The aisle runner with 1 Peter 4:8 printed on burlap and lined with lace in focus and a quite moment of prayer between Bride and Groom just out of focus; I think this photograph speaks volumes.
"You may now kiss your Bride!"
One happy family! Smiles all around! Congratulations Johansen Family!
This is the perfect shot for a family! The kiddos making faces because of the love and kisses! I'm sure this image will be the talk of the family!
Now for the photographs of the Bride and Groom! Andre and Vali had so many wonderful photographs of the two of them together, it was difficult to choose just one to share... so how about five! (I do have to make sure this is the best blog post of 2013 and all)
Awww... I love that Andre is holding Vali's shoes for her! That's love!
When we took this photograph there were literally dozens of bees flying around Andre and Vali. You would never know though because what a great photo!
I don't usually say which photograph is my favorite but this image just makes my heart melt!
Finishing off the best blog post with a happy couple holding hands and looking out. It's almost like they are looking into all that the future has for them! Congratulations Andre and Vali!!! You both are absolutely wonderful and I hope to be a part of capturing many other memories for you and your family!
